About the role
The Construction Maintenance Instructor operates a maintenance workshop performing building, assembly and repairing functions to support prison operations. The position provides on-the-job instruction, accredited training, and supervision to prisoners who work in this area. The position holds a supervisory role over other staff in this area.
To be eligible for appointment you are required to have:
a Construction Industry White Card AND
a Certificate III in a construction trade e.g. Brick and Block Laying, Carpentry and Joinery AND/OR
Certificate III in Building and Construction AND/OR
Certificate III in Building Maintenance AND/OR
Certificate III in Appliance Service.
