Our client is a European Luxury Confectionary brand now hiring a Retail Manager to drive omni-channel operations in Australia. Renowned for their artistic approach to luxury confectionary this brand has a rich history of craftmanship that has developed their reputation for excellence.
The Role |
This role will lead operations in Australia – managing a small team to drive growth across retail and wholesale. Based in Sydney – you will have key accountabilities across:
1. Sales performance and budget with full P&L responsibility of the channel.
2. Develop and implement retail strategies, define objectives and action plans to achieve sales targets.
3. Analyse consumer and competitor trends and channels to identify and maximize market opportunities. Provide market insights and recommendations to management to elevate business performance in the region.
4. Explore new business opportunities and develop business cases for expansion plans to strengthen retail proximity.
5. Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control measures are in place to meet financial targets.
6. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience, including visual merchandising, store layout, customer service standards, loyalty programs and compliance to ensure company's standards and KPIs are achieved.
7. Monitor retail performance and launch focused action plans with clearly articulated objectives to improve results.
8. Lead and coach retail team. Supervise a team of store managers and develop the team by providing guidance & support through timely feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture and environment.
9. Work with Training Manager to define training needs and develop talents with necessary skills so to drive excellence in customer service & sales performance.
The Skillset |
You will bring evident and in-depth experience within sales and management from either hospitality or retail industries. You are commercially minded and have a passion for achieving objectives through all retail operation processes and have excellent staff management and client relationship skills. A results-oriented professional with a strategic mindset who has problem-solving skills in a fast moving and high-end retail business.
10. Degree in Business Studies, Finance or related discipline.
11. Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in retail industry, preferably from high end food and beverage retail / fashion or beauty.
12. Strong financial acumen, track record in managing retail stores.
13. Strong leadership skills with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
14. Strong analytical, business acumen and interpersonal skills.
15. Languages – Mandarin considered an advantage.
16. Ability to travel locally and internationally.
