We are seeking a motivated individual to join our client's Business Transition Team as they embark on a new chapter under GM3’s leadership. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth transfer and transformation of operations, ensuring the future success of our Illawarra Metallurgical Coal assets.
Working alongside and supporting the Transition Director overseeing the program, this is a rare career opportunity with one of Australia’s leading mining companies. A diverse and interesting position which will see you “virtually” embedded with the Program Control Team, to assess & monitor the program to identify impacts through the “build, test, deploy” phases.
Role
You will synthesise the impacts of process and technology changes and communicate regularly to Transition Director risks to the program, in addition to on-going stakeholder engagement and communication.
* Take charge of streamlining and redesigning operational processes to align with the new strategic direction under GM3 leadership.
* Assess current operations and develop strategies to enhance productivity, ensuring smooth execution during the transition phase.
* Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure minimal disruption to operations during the transition.
* Maintain constant communication with department heads, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on process improvements.
* Develop & monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of operational changes and provide regular feedback to the Transition Director.
* Ensure that all team members are trained on new processes, providing resources and support to foster continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements
* Relevant Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) across either Technology or Business Operations
* Relevant Certifications in one or more; Project Management, Change, Technology, Business Operations, etc
* Minimum of 3 years experience in project management within the related role. (Ideally within heavy industry)
* Fantastic interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
* Deep understanding of Project Management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
