The role of the Chief Superintendent, General Manager is to manage the operations of a correctional centre to ensure the safe and secure management of prisoners, whilst providing opportunities for rehabilitation. As a member of the senior management team, the Chief Superintendent, General Manager plays a significant role in the leadership and strategic direction of QCS, and in supporting the goals of the broader public sector.
In this role you will:
1. Maintain effective security and intelligence systems and practices within the centre through robust testing processes and contingency testing.
2. Ensuring the provision of custodial services in accordance with the Corrective Services Act 2006, and other key legislation.
3. Maintain effective security systems and practices through robust practice review and contingency testing.
4. Ensure automated security systems and security equipment throughout the facility are maintained and fully operational.
5. Lead the management team in the development, implementation, and review of security plans. Oversee the application and review of policies and procedures for the security of the centre.
