Senior Mechanical Project Engineer – Deeside – Plant Based – Days Role – £53-64k + 10% pension contribution + quarterly bonus + 28 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced, mechanically biased Senior Project Engineer to work on a large plant in the Deeside area. The Senior level Project Engineer role will suit someone with heavy industry experience.
Key aspects of the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer role include:
* Prepare detailed governance structure, project plans and progress reports.
* Lead and manage a team of Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and contractor employees.
* Develop detailed engineering requirements and specifications for plant/process improvements with supporting risk assessments, management of change documentation, process safety considerations, and hazard/operability considerations (HAZOP).
* Responsible for day-to-day management of the drawing office team and the project support team.
* Strong project management skills (ideally PRINCE2) – company will arrange for you to attend PRINCE2 training if required.
* Degree qualification strongly preferred.
* Experience in the planning and implementation of capital projects, along with experience in the management and control of external contractor personnel is desirable.
* Successful Senior Mechanical Project Engineer should be able to demonstrate excellent budget management skills.
* Demonstrate excellent Health, Safety and Environmental Management & Legislation knowledge.
* The company will also cover professional body subscriptions and will encourage and support team members to gain Chartered status.
* Salary range of £53-64k includes an uplift of a set amount of prepaid annual overtime hours.
* Officially the hours are 8.30am-4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am-3.45pm on a Friday, but Engineers often start earlier and finish earlier, so there’s some flexibility.
* The site is going through a large phase of investment and offers team members a generous package including a quarterly bonus scheme which, if hit, pays quarterly, which could mean an extra £5-8k per year on top of your basic.
