Your new role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the efficient operation of our new store facility as a Store Assistant. The role involves various administrative tasks, inventory management, and support for equipment maintenance.

In this role, you will manage inventory effectively, maintain storage facilities, adhere to procurement procedures, and comply with occupational health and safety requirements. You will also perform minor repairs on equipment and other relevant tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage inventory effectively, conducting regular stock takes and assisting with the purchasing of consumables.
* Maintain storage facilities properly, checking, cataloguing, and securing delivered goods according to University policies.
* Adhere to procurement procedures to obtain supplies at favourable prices, ensuring quality and timely availability.
* Comply with occupational health and safety requirements in storage practices and perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
Selection Criteria
1. Educational Background: Completion of Year 12 and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
2. Technical Skills: Proven ability to perform minor repairs on a variety of equipment, demonstrating hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Committed to providing exceptional, client-focused service to all stakeholders.
4. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated capacity to effectively navigate and resolve challenges in high-pressure situations.
5. Computer Proficiency: Proficient in a range of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and email, ensuring efficient and effective information management.
6. Safety Commitment: A demonstrated commitment to adhering to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and practices, ensuring a safe work environment for all.
Desirable Criteria include experience using an online resource booking management system and a valid driver's license.
