The Senior Analyst is a key member of the performance reporting team responsible for measuring and reporting the performance and attribution of the REST's multiple investment strategies. As such, this role has a primary focus on building the operating framework alongside the manager, including the people, processes, and systems to enable performance reporting function.
The Senior Performance Reporting Analyst will be responsible for:
Delivering accurate and timely performance and exposure reports to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, survey/ratings houses, and investment governance committees. Overseeing and enhancing the Whole of Fund attribution model, including proactive monitoring of regulatory developments related to Rest's published performance results. Liaising with internal stakeholders, particularly the Rest Investment Team, to ensure all Performance Reporting requirements are met and provide insights on sources of outperformance or underperformance. Reviewing and enhancing existing performance reporting processes through automation, simplification, and control improvement to reduce risk of error and create efficiencies. Contributing to regulatory reporting and analysing the impact of regulatory changes relating to performance reporting, adapting processes to ensure compliance. Developing ex-post-performance reporting across various levels (manager, sector, asset class, and option) with a focus on continuous improvement and insights for portfolio construction. Utilising and optimising reporting and analytics solutions, such as State Street Alpha / Charles River and FactSet, to enhance and automate current reporting capabilities. Providing guidance, training, and technical support to Performance Reporting analysts, while contributing subject matter expertise to broader organisational initiatives. Qualifications Relevant tertiary or technical qualifications in Commerce, Mathematics, Information Management, Finance or related field. Fluency in FactSet, and Whole of Fund attribution model based on notional exposure of derivatives (FX Forwards, Equity and Fixed Income Futures, etc.). CIPM, CAIA and CFA are highly desirable. Required experience, understanding or credentials including :
Proven experience in analytics, risk or performance reporting within investment organisations, custodians or vendors. Strong knowledge of performance calculation methodologies, derivative financial instruments, and their impact on Whole of Fund Performance. Ability to interpret and communicate performance attribution results to senior stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and numerical literacy. Experience with investment data solutions in an Asset Owner environment (e.g., Custodian Data Services, Front Office platforms, FactSet, Bloomberg). Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and provide guidance to junior team members. Strong stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organisation.
