About the Opportunity As the Design Manager you will be a member of the Property and Procurement department. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Delivery, the Design Manager is responsible for the design, documentation, and end-to-end delivery of architectural, interior, fitout and refurbishment projects across the RACV physical asset portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include: Representing the project at project governance forums. Connecting project communications and reporting to strategic business initiatives. Aligning projects to methodology compliance standards set by the business. Negotiating with suppliers to ensure project deliverables are completed, ensuring procurement activities align with approved delegations of authority. Ensuring all projects comply with agreed quality standards and policies. Providing a safe work environment for employees and supporting adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures. Producing project initiation documents for relevant projects, confirming objectives, methods, timelines, and constraints. Leading and overseeing the entire design process from concept stage to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards. Who we're looking for and what you'll bring: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Technical knowledge in interior design, architecture, and construction; project management background is desirable. VBA registration as a building designer and/or architect. Current Victorian Driver's license. Construction Card (Yellow Card). Relevant trade, retail, and hospitality experience. OH&S Training. Training in Environmental and Sustainable Design Principles. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strategic thinking. Travel to sites across Melbourne, Regional Victoria, or Interstate will be required.
