Dynamic Injury Management Team Leader Opportunity with SALHN!
As an Injury Management Team Leader, you'll spearhead a dedicated unit overseeing comprehensive injury management services across Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. Your strategic vision and ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams will drive the implementation of cutting-edge initiatives to enhance workplace safety and employee wellbeing. This pivotal leadership position allows you to champion positive change, streamline processes, and cultivate a culture of preventative care within the esteemed SA Health organization.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and the WHSIM, some of your duties as the Injury Management Team Leader may involve:
* Leading the Injury Management team to maintain complex injury management systems to ensure the early, safe and effective return to work for injured workers and the successful resolution of acute and long-term complex claims.
* Developing new Injury Management strategies to reduce organisational expenditure, while assuring the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
* Mentoring the Injury Management team to reduce organisational expenditure while assuring the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
* Assuring SALHN Injury Management functions adhere to all legislative requirements, government policy and performance standards.
* Supporting the Workforce Human Resource team with case file management for Non-Work Related Injuries.
* Leading & Developing early intervention response programs to support injured workers' prompt recovery and return to work.
About you:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in health, psychology, behavioural science, allied health and/or significant levels of discipline knowledge of workers compensation legislation and demonstrated experience in the application of Injury Management services.
* Extensive experience and expertise in providing rehabilitation and return to work services, complex and contentious workers compensation claims, for a large self-insurer.
* Extensive experience in developing, implementing and monitoring injury management strategies, programs, processes and procedures, in a large complex organisation.
* Extensive experience in the provision of expert advice for complex injury management matters to the regulator (Return to Work SA), solicitors, senior executive managers, health professionals and a range of key stakeholders and staff across a large complex organisation.
* Extensive experience in communicating and negotiating, including demonstrated ability to clearly explain complex administrative, legal and medical issues to rationally resolve conflict and successfully solve problems.
