The Senior Psychologist Education - School Counselling and Telepsychology Rural and Remote Schools (SCATRRS) provides high quality psychological services to rural and remote NSW schools. They work closely with schools, parents and carers, other members of the school counselling service, members of educational services teams and external agencies to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes. Part of the success of the program is the ability of the SCATRRS SPEs to offer a blended model with a required component of school visits and face to face work. Telepsychology is an important feature of this service.
The Senior Psychologist Education – SCATRRS, provides professional leadership in the delivery of psychological services to rural and remote school communities, including communities impacted by serious incidents. They play a key leadership role in coordinating responses to address identified wellbeing needs in a rural or remote community. When required this may include leading a psychological response team assembled from within the school counselling service to respond to a specific need or to work in conjunction with the local SPE Team.
