At ResMed, Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) is the core procurement function that partners with world class suppliers to provide a variety of products and services to help support ResMed growth, to continue to deliver industry leading products in Healthcare. The Global Head of In-Direct Procurement will lead our GSA In-Direct Team comprising of Category Management of IT, Business Services, REFS, Travel & Fleet – Annual Spend Circa $600M
A key member of the GSA Leadership team, reporting into the Global Head of GSA, building organisational capability and functional excellence to support growth and a Business Partner to senior internal stakeholders and leaders across the business, understanding their requirements and developing category strategies that align operational targets to ResMed long-term strategic business goals.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
1. Provide overall leadership and line management to the In-Direct team, including continuous development of team capability to meet growing business expectations.
2. Make significant contributions to the wider Procurement strategic agenda as a member of the Global GSA Leadership Team.
3. Lead and manage Indirect category teams, developing category strategies, developing operating procedures and ways of working.
4. Engage with and actively drive Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) programs across Indirect Categories
5. Contributing to developing policy and ensuring compliance is maintained to high standards.
6. Establish supplier segmentation, SRM strategies and develop buying channels.
7. Support category teams in key negotiations, supplier relationships, analysis of spend management, implementing sourcing programs, and contract lifecycle management.
8. Engage with Senior Leadership teams at ResMed to continuously identify opportunities to optimise value procured from third parties in order to favourably influence business P&L’s
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
9. Track record of successfully leading teams of experienced Procurement professionals across Indirect category with savings outcomes to the P&L.
10. Established track record of experience in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management.
11. Global experience in implementing effective category management strategies.
12. Strong relationship-building skills in working with both internal and external stakeholders.
13. Excellent business acumen, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to convey strategies and results to a diverse audience.
14. Strong ability to collaborate, influence and co-create strategy and business outcomes with stakeholders.
15. Key experience required in managing global vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and supporting business objectives whilst minimizing risk.
16. Experience in developing an end-to-end procurement process and change management.
