The role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant superstar. This is a Full-time 6 Month maternity leave contract with the potential of an extension working as part of an awesome team at our Head Office.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the management of financial and operational processes are maintained through consultation and analysis on revenue, costs, budgets and variances with the management and Sales team.
The Assistant Accountant will perform day-to-day administrative duties, providing financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, accurate processing and reporting functions.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
Assist in the development and maintenance of Financial and costs accounting processes
Internal controls and risk management
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and other statutory lodgements
Assist with analysis and recommendations on capital investments projects using appropriate investment appraisal techniques.
Assist with preparation of budgets for company activities and performance monitoring
Monitor and advise cash management issues
Support the Group Accountant with financial analysis and decision making.
Other duties as required by the Group Financial Controller
About you
At least 12 months experience in an Accounts Assistant position
Certificate in Business (Administration) or similar
Ability to implement and complete activities on time and to budget
Self-motivated, high level of initiative and good co-ordination skills
Practical and outcome focused
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
