The RoleAs a Data Analyst (APS6) at the Department of Education, you will report to the Assistant Director, maintaining and operating the Workforce Retention Grant payment calculator, as well as assisting in the production of analysis of administrative data to support the ongoing grant management. Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for the following: Analysing monthly and annual financials to identify emerging trends and variances to budget. Preparing the monthly payment calculations for the Workforce Retention Grant. Maintaining and updating the Grant calculator. Preparing bespoke data and analysis to inform program and policy decisions. Developing self-service reporting tools and bespoke data products. Producing briefs, minutes, reports and other documents and statistical reports to a high standard. Adhering to relevant Acts, Accountable Authority Instructions, Delegations and policies. Actively participating in a collaborative team environment based on supportiveness, development, knowledge sharing and effective communication. Building and sustaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as representing the department in external forums.
