Duties and Responsibilities :
Sales
•Preparation of the Daily Sales Report for distribution to the business.
•Assists with maintaining relevant sales data in ABM (ERP system) to ensure accuracy.
•Assists with Sales and Gross Margin analysis and prepares reports as required.
Standard Product Costing
•Ensures accurate and timely generation of new product costs to support business initiatives including new product development activities and works closely with Sales / Production / NPD and Supply Chain areas of the business to achieve this.
•Ensure timely generation of product cost revisions.
•Conducts regular standard cost audits to ensure Product Costs are accurate and to identify possible cost and process improvements.
•Set up and maintain products in ABM and AMS (the manufacturing module of the ERP system), including Bill of Material changes.
•Ensure the accurate and timely recording of production activities by the Operations department.
Operational Variance Analysis
•Prepare Operational Variance Reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. The data is to be analysed with the aim of improving accuracy, reducing issues, and improving processes.
•Lead the weekly manufacturing variance meetings with production staff to analyse variances, obtain explanations for variances and to Identify opportunities for improvements.
Inventory
•Establish and maintain inventory costs for all products.
•Complete a full reconciliation of inventory to the general ledger each month end.
•Prepare profit in inventory journal entries and post each month end.
•Prepare inventory obsolescence journal entries and post each month end.
•Revalue intercompany standard costs each month to reflect cost changes and movement in foreign currency (NZ and AUD).
•Work with Operations and Supply Chain to process stocktakes and production damages. Ensure stocktakes are performed regularly, variances reviewed, and any recurring issues investigated.
Month End
•Produce accurate monthly financial reports.
•Prepares Balance Sheet Reconciliations as required.
•Perform operational labour reconciliations.
•Prepare and post month end journals as required.
•Prepare and analyse various month end reports.
Budgets
•Ensure that a full standards review is conducted annually in line with the budget timetable.
•Assist with calculating and formalising the labour and overhead rates for the annual budget and updating of the standard costs for the new financial year.
•Assist with the overall budget process as required.
•Business Processes and Procedures
Continuous Improvement
•Suggest improvements to procedures, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and ensure integrity of the company.
•Ensure all costing related activities are documented and filed.
•Other Duties Assist the FP&A Team and Chief Financial Officer as required and perform other duties in supporting the overall objectives of the Finance Department.

•Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered when responding to and investigating a quality complaint from any source.
•Ensure management and direction of the Quality Assurance Program and the implementation and evaluation of the Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) program.
•Oversee the implementation of all quality assurance processes, including manufacture and packaging through to dispatch of finished product.

•Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all employees and contractors whilst actively participating in providing a work environment that reduces or eliminates the potential risk of injury.
•Ensure all safety related incidents that occur within the workplace are suitably investigated and preventative measures are applied to remedy future incidents.

•Set clear performance goals and expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to develop talent and enhance capabilities for professional and personal growth opportunities.
•Provide leadership and support to junior members of the finance team, mentoring and guiding them to ensure the accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
•Offer training and support across departments to improve financial literacy and understanding of budgeting, financial performance, and cost management.
•Function as a key advisor to senior management on financial matters, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial decision-making.
•Advise department heads on budget management, cost control, and financial planning to align operational goals with financial targets.

Qualification and Experience required:
•A bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting or Commerce.
•CPA or CA qualified (or advanced in completing).
•Minimum 3 to 5 years' relevant work experience as a Management Accountant in a commercial environment.
•Sound understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals.
•Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications, particularly advanced MS Excel skills including Power Query
•Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience
•High level of attention to detail
•Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels (including external stakeholders), both verbally and in writing
