About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full-Stack Developer with a strong background in cybersecurity to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and efficient applications while implementing security best practices. You will work closely with security engineers to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data, and build robust solutions to address complex security challenges across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Develop, test, and deploy both frontend and backend components of web applications, ensuring integration of secure coding practices. Cybersecurity Integration: Collaborate with the security team to implement security protocols, encryption, authentication, and other security measures in all aspects of the development process. Threat Mitigation: Analyze and mitigate security vulnerabilities and threats in applications and underlying systems, ensuring adherence to security compliance standards. Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve existing security features, recommend enhancements, and ensure that applications remain protected against evolving security risks. Secure Code Practices: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following secure coding principles to protect applications from SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and other common vulnerabilities. Collaboration & Communication: Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, system administrators, and cybersecurity engineers to deliver integrated solutions with a strong focus on security. Incident Response: Assist in security incident analysis, including root cause investigations, to ensure security threats and breaches are identified and mitigated quickly. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of codebase changes, security protocols, and system architectures to ensure transparency and compliance with internal and external security requirements. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular code reviews, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and strengthen defenses. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+). Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) Proficient in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java, along with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. Experience with web servers, application servers, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.). Familiarity with secure application frameworks and tools like OAuth, SSL/TLS, JWT, and others. In-depth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques (OWASP Top 10). Hands-on experience with secure development practices, encryption methods, firewalls, and other security tools. Experience in vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and threat modeling. Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and propose solutions. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
