Job Opportunity
Kingfisher Recruitment has partnered with Peet Limited to find their next Senior Project Manager in their ACT office. This prominent Australian National Developer is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. Working on the recently acquired, multi-building residential development adjacent to the University of Canberra. Peet are well known for their second to none mentoring and team collaboration, giving you a step into the developer side and shaping the vision of this new project.
Working as part of the Development team, reporting to the Project Director, the role will manage the project to achieve outcomes within agreed time and cost framework, ensuring maximisation of returns to investors within an appropriate risk horizon. You will be playing a vital role in managing the day-to-day requirements of the development which will entail assisting with building a team once the project kicks into gear.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:
* Managing a portfolio of projects (within the larger project) in various stages of design, planning and delivery.
* Delivery of civil and landscape works, townhouse and apartment construction, influence site selection and design, optimise customer relations and ensure effective administration of the Built Form department.
* Demonstrating a high level of leadership and mentorship to a multi-layered team to ensure consistently high levels of motivation and engagement.
* Providing strategic input to the Project Director regarding the management of the Project.
About You
To be suitably qualified for this opportunity, you will have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
* A proven track record of delivering residential or mixed-use developments on time and within budget.
* Experience managing teams of consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
* Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Experience using project management software and tools.
Along with the technical skills, you’ll need to have a high level of emotional intelligence, sound written and verbal communication skills, a strong business acumen, an ability to embrace new initiatives, and the drive and self-motivation to produce positive outcomes both on the project and within the business, in general.
