Further Details Permanent, full time position Up to $109,259.00 per annum Based in the Northern Territory Starting ASAP In this role, you will provide essential health services to mothers, infants, and young children within the Aboriginal community. Conduct health assessments, screenings, and immunizations for infants and young children. Deliver education and support to mothers and families on parenting, nutrition, and child development. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and Aboriginal Health Workers to ensure holistic care is provided. Engage with the community to promote health and wellbeing, addressing social, cultural, and environmental factors impacting maternal and child health. Qualification and Credentials Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA National Crime Check within the past 12 months Current Working with Children's Check Current NT Driver's License Current certification to administer vaccines in the NT (or able to obtain) Post Graduate Qualifications preferably in Remote Area Nursing or Child Health Nursing. Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions). Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in maternal and child health, particularly within an Aboriginal community context. Familiar with the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual. Strong understanding of cultural safety and the ability to provide care that respects and values Aboriginal culture and traditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with mothers, families, and community members.
