Ventia's Chef positions are based at our Anglo American Mine Site Camps in Middlemount, Moranbah and Moura, working a 14 day on/ 7 day off roster, fly in-fly out, with meals and accommodation provided whilst on site. This is a permanent role with a salary of $94,015.22 plus superannuation, annual leave and sick leave is also accrued.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure efficient food prep and meal services
2. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and barbeques
3. Participate in the implementation and management of the Food Safety Program
4. Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas
5. Participate in regular stock take an inventory control activities
6. Document cleaning schedules, incoming goods, food holding units and temperature probes
What we're looking for
7. Australian recognised Commercial Cookery qualification cert 3 minimum
8. Minimum 1 years' experience in large commercial kitchens
9. Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations
10. Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a team
11. Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
12. HACCP Level 2 certification (plus)
