Job DescriptionBased at the Mercure Penrith, in the role as Hub Financial Controller you will be responsible for the finance operations for three hotels including Mercure Penrith, Ibis Budget Perth and Essence Hotels/Unilodge Carlton.To be successful, you will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as an Assistant Financial Controller or as a current Financial Controller.As the Hub Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:Leading the finance hub for three hotels.Directly accountable for all financial information sent to the General Manager, Accor and Owners in regard to presentation, accuracy and detail.Creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to hotel owners and Accor Regional team.Ensuring compliance with financial regulations at all levels and establishing robust internal controls to protect assets and maintain the integrity of financial dataProviding strategic financial guidance to the hotel leadership to align financial strategies with the hotel's goals.Ensure that all Management Agreement and Owners Corporation matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner – with accuracy and attention to detail.Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and offering insights to enhance profitabilityIdentifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives while analysing financial information to spot trends and opportunities for improved efficiencyEnsure the timely and accurate completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.Assist Department Heads/Managers in all three hotels to develop effective measures to enhance their department's profitability.Supply all departments with accurate statistical information on a timely basis.Cooperate with all other departments offering support information on finance matters as required.Develop and monitor all financial systems for the Hotel with a view to improving and streamlining procedures.Ensure that policies and procedures set by Accor are implemented and internal controls are operating effectively.Guiding, mentoring, and developing the leadership team in all things finance, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional growthQualificationsMinimum 2-3 years of experience in Finance roles including roles as Assistant Financial Controller as a minimum.Previous experience using Sun Cloud, Opera Cloud, Wage Easy is preferred.Leadership, ownership and entrepreneurial qualitiesStrong communicator who has the ability to relate to all stakeholders - team members, peers, senior management and ownersSelf-motivated, engaging and approachable.Decision makingAnalytical skills.Additional InformationLearn your Way - Access to our Accor Academy so you can Earn while you Learn!Opportunities for career development and growth within Accor's global network.Incredible Accor Heartist Benefits – access to Accor's extensive benefits including discounted Food & Beverage + Accommodation WorldwideAccor's refer-a-friend bonusAccor's Parental Leave SchemeAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramBy joining Accor, every chapter of your story is yours to write and together we can imagine tomorrow's hospitality.
