About the Position We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Irrigation Maintenance Operator to join our irrigation team. This position is responsible for undertaking irrigation maintenance, including testing, checking, minor alterations and repairs of commercial and domestic irrigation systems to ensure the City's irrigation infrastructure is to a sound operational level in accordance with service delivery measures.
Key Responsibilities The duties of the Irrigation Maintenance Operator will include but are not limited to:
Manage daily irrigation maintenance schedules to meet current service levels.Conduct testing and checking of irrigation systems for satisfactory and optimal operation and replace or repair as necessary (e.g., pipes, valves, sprinklers, multi wire and two wire cable decoder systems or as directed).Ability to interpret irrigation drawings, plans and contribute to the review design aspects of new systems.Diagnose faults or hazards (bores, pumps, controllers, irrigation cubicles or electrical switch boards and dosing units) and report to the Irrigation Supervisor.About You The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.
