Great staff benefits.The Department: Alfred Health's Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to the patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital.Role Overview: The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) (Physiotherapy – The Alfred Hospital) is tasked with providing therapy support services to individuals and groups as directed by the physiotherapist. The AHA will assist the physiotherapist through tasks such as:Assisting with assessment and treatment in individual or group settings.Providing exercise, mobility, and activity programs as prescribed by the physiotherapist.Delivering equipment and completing associated paperwork as prescribed by the health professional.Coordinating and organizing services upon discharge as prescribed by the physiotherapist.Performing administrative duties to assist the physiotherapist, including entering statistics and ordering and stocking equipment.The AHA works closely with the physiotherapy and other multidisciplinary team members to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each client's therapeutic goals. The AHA will also perform administrative and cleaning duties that assist with client management and contribute to the smooth operation of the Physiotherapy Department.Work Conditions: Individuals may be required to work across all Alfred Health sites and services, including weekend and Public Holiday shifts as rostered.Skills/Qualifications: Registered to practice in Victoria (AHPRA). Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in physiotherapy services.
