DESCRIPTION
AWS Global Sales (AGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth across all of AWS’ customer segments, from small- to mid-market accounts, to the enterprise.

Would you like to be part of a new team focused on delighting Australia’s Mining and Manufacturing customers in Western and South Australia? We help customers within this vertical cohort leverage the cloud to modernize their platforms to reduce cost, increase agility, drive sustainability, and transform their business.
The ideal candidate will apply sales and technical experience to proactively engage with key stakeholders across the value chain, to harness the power of cloud technology and meet the customer's business objectives. A successful candidate will generate and maintain active engagements with customers and prospects, as well as consistently exceed sales quotas.

Key job responsibilities
Responsible for prospecting and new business acquisition for assigned territory
Ability to identify and qualify opportunities, and drive full sales cycle to customer adoption
Ability to articulate and deliver business value that describe AWS services and pricing
Understand the business development process and handle technical objections, while positioning AWS services to meet customer requirements
Partner with the our Mining Business Development team to establish and execute territory go-to-market strategy
Exceed annual sales targets and other key performance metrics
Maintain a prescribed cadence of activities
Stay current on Amazon Web Services products, technology and business technical certifications
Record all customer information and maintain detailed tele-qualification records, in the CRM on each prospective customer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3yrs+ account management and/or business development experience in the IT industry
• Experience in enterprise technology and business solutions sales
• Sales experience with a focus on quota-carrying roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience selling cloud and or SaaS solutions
• Experience working with consulting partners and system integrators
