About the opportunity
On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Policy Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
12. working as part of a team to ensure that the Branch’s responsibilities are effectively achieved;
13. undertaking research and analysis of economic, financial, legal and social issues with respect to policy proposals;
14. working with other Tasmanian government agencies and the Commonwealth;
15. monitoring and forecasting economic trends; and
16. preparing written advice to the Treasurer as well as other documents.
About the Branch
The primary role of the Economic Policy Branch is to provide high quality advice on a broad range of economic and financial issues. The Branch is also responsible for monitoring the Tasmanian economy and assisting with the analysis and evaluation of policy proposals within a cost-benefit framework.
