As a New Business Sales Rep, you will be responsible for driving the acquisition of new public sector clients, expanding Elastic’s customer base, and promoting our world-class search and data solutions.Key Responsibilities:Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential public sector customers in target markets using a variety of prospecting methods (cold calls, emails, social selling, etc.).Sales Presentations: Engage with key decision-makers in government, education, and nonprofit sectors to demonstrate the value of Elastic’s products and solutions.Consultative Selling: Understand the unique needs of prospective clients in the public sector and offer tailored solutions.Deal Closure: Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals.Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, Solution Architects, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless sales experience.Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs to drive growth for Elastic.Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on public sector trends, industry regulations, and competitors.Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports.Qualifications:Proven track record of success in new business sales, preferably in public sector, B2B SaaS and/or technology.Strong ability to build relationships across organizations in government, education, and nonprofit sectors.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.A consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term customer success.Ability to thrive in a collaborative and high-performance culture.
