The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics.As a Chef your responsibilities will include:Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipmentCook Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guideMenu planningMaintain food stock levels and undertake ordering as requiredMaintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standardsImplement & maintain the Food Safety ProgramLiaise with management, dietitians and staff on specific patient requirements & issuesLead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional serviceSelection Criteria:Hold a Diploma of Commercial cookery (Highly Desirable)Hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial CookeryDemonstrated prior experience in a similar role of 3+ yearsPrior experience in a healthcare or Aged Care setting would be an advantageGood working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulationsKnowledge of menu planning, stock control & diet code adjustmentsDemonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a teamHighly organised, efficient and effectiveAvailable for shifts over a 7-day roster including early/late shifts and weekend workWhy Healthscope?
