Details A Western NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine from 24/12/2023 to 05/01/2024.
Shift(s) details as below: from 24/12/2023 18:00 to 05/01/2024 08:00 at $2800 per day Role information: Recent GP and ED experience required.
ED skills imperative to role - assessment and management of all triage codes including critical care with support from WNSWLHD v Care team.
On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7.
You will be called for all triage categories at the discretion of the local Registered nurses, vCare or VRGS.
Expectation that you review all cases in-person throughout the day.
Overnight (from 8pm) you are expected to review Category 1, 2s and 3s in-person.
Category 4 and 5s will be escalated directly with you at all hours.
— Should a RN require you to attend, you will be required to do so.
On-call will also require you to attend inpatients that are deteriorating.
Fatigue breaks if required are to be discussed prior to taking any break with the Health Service Manager.
Please note support is available via vCare in emergency situations should you require additional support.

Must have completed Rural eMeds training.
