Located in Sandringham, Victoria, the company is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and testing various products and machines ensuring they are functional, safe, and cost-effective.The annual salary of this job is $73,150 to $80,000 plus superannuation.Responsibilities:Designing mechanical systems, components, and machinery based on client specifications and industry standards. This includes using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to develop accurate designs and prototypes.Analysing mechanical systems by using various methods and performing testing to ensure the systems met performance and safety standards. Applying engineering principles to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance designs.Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technicians, and other engineers, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical requirements. Also providing leadership in managing project schedules, resource allocation, and quality assurance.Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure the successful transition of designs into production. This includes overseeing the fabrication, assembly, and installation of mechanical systems, troubleshooting production issues, and suggesting design improvements.Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.Developing maintenance plans and ensuring minimal downtime and efficient system operation.Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations.Preparing and maintaining detailed technical reports, manuals, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company protocols.Qualifications:Must hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.Must have at least one to two (1-2) years of the equivalent of full-time experience in a similar field.Skills Required:Ability to work with minimal supervision.Must possess advanced computational skills.Core engineering and technical knowledge.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.Analytical Thinking.Practical knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.Only Australian citizens and those with Permanent Resident status may apply.
