Under the supervision of the Chef Financial Officer, the Controller will, but not be limited to:
Perform and/or supervise the accounting operations of the firm;Ensure the proper management of corporate cash flows;Prepare and update of operating and procurement budgets, and their communication to management and/or project teams;Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as financial reports for the managerial team;Produce analytical reports and manage relevant information for managerial decision-making processes;Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations, with the support and coordination of external auditors;Manage the employee payroll process;Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures;Collaborate with project team members to assure financial compliance of their activities;Participate in financial forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making for the company;Ensure the application of risk mitigation policies and establish qualified supply chains;Perform other related tasks such as reconciliation, analysis, and reporting functions to support the management team.Skills requiredIn-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations to ensure a high level of reliability of the financial informationpublished;Strong analytical and synthesis of financial information, and interpretation of data for management communications within the company;Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite and excellent computer skills;Knowledge of Sage Pro/Intacct products would be an asset;Good verbal and written communication skills in both official languages;Attention to detail and a commitment to completeness and validation in all tasks performed;Ability to achieve professional autonomy in an active work environment and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines;Sincere team player, a real sense of organization and responsibility, and an understanding of professional ethics;An ease of adaptation to various situations, a willingness to overcome challenges, and an understanding of the industry's reality.Specific hiring criteriaHold an university diploma in Business Administration (specializing in accounting);Possess a minimum of three years of relevant work experience with a similar role.
