Job Description Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Reporting, your responsibilities will include: Lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced Power BI solutions for our organisation Partner with senior stakeholders to comprehend their complex reporting and data visualisation needs, translating these requirements into sophisticated Power BI dashboards and reports Develop and maintain data models using Power BI and Azure Analysis Services (AAS), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and enhancements and provide recommendations for their implementation to improve our reporting capabilities Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to Power BI dashboards, reports, and data sources with precision Provide strategic guidance and support to team members, championing best practises in Power BI development and advanced data modelling techniques Lead comprehensive training sessions and workshops aimed at educating users on the advanced functionalities of Power BI and promoting effective self-service reporting To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialisation in Finance, Information Systems, or a closely related field Minimum of 5 years of high-level experience in Power BI development, emphasising data modelling and visualisation In-depth understanding of financial operations within a Professional Services firm is highly desirable Extensive knowledge of Azure SQL and proven experience in data modelling using Azure Analysis Services (AAS) Advanced proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and SQL query language Strong familiarity with Power BI service administration, including comprehensive workspace and access management Superior problem-solving capabilities and adeptness in analysing complex data sets Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels Demonstrated leadership acumen, with a proven track record in managing and motivating high-performing teams Capacity to work autonomously while efficiently prioritising tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
