Rail & Maritime Transport (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time About Bhagwan Marine Founded in 2000, Bhagwan Marine recently became a publicly listed company on the ASX.We pride ourselves on our adaptability and proactive approach, which have earned us a reputation as a trusted partner in Marine Operations in Australia.We provide a diverse range of marine solutions within Ports, Nearshore, Offshore, and Subsea locations to industries including Oil and Gas, Subsea, Port, Civil Construction, Renewables, and Defence.We are one of the largest marine vessel operators and service providers in Australia, powered by a strong workforce in strategic locations nationwide.The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Superintendent to support our NT Operations.This is an excellent opportunity to join a vessel technical team as a professional and contribute to providing solution-based services to our valued clients.This is a full-time permanent role based in the Northern Territory.Reporting to the National Technical Manager, this role is accountable for managing and maintaining your allocated Bhagwan Marine fleet of vessels in compliance with Class Survey rules, regulatory, and statutory regulations through planned maintenance programs and vessel survey requirements.This is a key position and will suit an experienced vessel and technical superintendent with a proven marine background.Your duties will include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and direction to Vessel Engineers relating to vessel operations, vessel maintenance, refits, and management.Establish and deliver technical policies, procedures, and documentation in line with technical requirements and business outcomes.Budget and forecast vessel repairs, including planned refits, work overs, and survey.Liaise with Class on vessel audits and certification.Plan and execute both Class and Flag State Surveys on assigned fleet ensuring vessels remain within Survey windows.Supervise and coordinate vessel repairs and maintenance including shore-side labour appointment.Project manage the dry docking of vessels.Review engineering-related purchase requisitions/purchase orders vetting and approving for best practices.Manage and maintain assigned fleet in compliance with Class Survey rules, regulatory, and statutory regulations through planned maintenance programs and vessel survey requirements.Compliance of Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).Manage vessel lifecycle including new build/purchase through to repairs and refits.Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers, key marine governing bodies, and Class Societies.
