At an exciting time to join Score's Production team in Karratha, we are looking for a Trades Assistant who shares their passion and drive for excellence and success.
The Trades Assistant will be working within our Production team, assisting the Workshop and Warehouse as directed, in line with company, HSE and Quality standards.
This position is Monday to Friday, permanent Full-time that would suit a local resident of Karratha or surrounding areas.
Preference will be given to applicants with work experience as a Trades Assistant in a similar industry, however entry-level candidates with an interest in working in this field will be considered.
Responsibilities Duties shall include, but will not be limited to:
Packing and preservation of goods being shipped Loading and unloading of deliveries Assist warehouse team with stocktake and selection Check condition and cleanliness of the abrasive and replace as required Sandblasting Equipment condition checks for preservation purposes Create shipments, deliveries, single return forms and deliverables without reference (DWR) documents Assist QA/QC department with valve related queries General in-house maintenance (Rack & shelf labels, daily forklift start-ups area clean-ups) General yard duties as required Ensure adherence to all relevant work instructions, procedures, and quality processes Proactive approach to maintaining good housekeeping policies Experience and Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience in a Tradesperson role or worked within the mechanical and/or manufacturing industry (desirable) Valve based knowledge Oil & Gas, manufacturing, other areas of the valve industry (desirable) Current Drivers Licence Knowledge and Skillset Technically minded Ability to liaise with other departments to coordinate work efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective time management skills Strong organisational skills High attention to detail Strong focus on quality and safety objectives About Us With facilities in over thirty locations spanning five continents, Score employs more than 2000 people, including 230 apprentices.
