Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
* To act as Solicitor in routine, complex and critical criminal matters and other litigation particularly relating to sexual assault cases on behalf of the State of Tasmania, its instrumentalities and Agencies before the Court of Criminal Appeal, Supreme Court, Magistrates Court and Tribunals.
* Provide professional supervision and instruction to junior legal practitioners, including managing the sexual assault and advising unit.
* To provide high level advice to the Director and Deputy Director as requested in respect to criminal and other related matters.
* To participate in performance management and file reviews as directed by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
* Admitted or eligible for admission as a Barrister or Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.
