PsychSolutions Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo NSW are seeking Provisional Psychologists to join our team. This role involves providing psychological services to people of all ages and backgrounds. Our aim is to support successful applicants to become ethical and professional psychologists and to meet all requirements for full registration.
PsychSolutions provides high quality psychological services to the Central and Far West of NSW. We are a supportive team who really values our clients and each other. We work from lovely consulting spaces, all close to great coffee and food options. We have an excellent reputation with our referring agencies and in our community.
These positions are available for 5+1 provisional psychologists. You will have access to all psychometric testing to meet registration requirements and a mix of individual and group supervision. You will have the opportunity to provide rural and remote travelling clinics in culturally diverse communities, which is a unique growth opportunity. You will be able to work alongside other provisional psychologists to network with and share the internship journey together. All supervision will be provided by experienced Clinical Psychologists (with over 50 years clinical experience between us). Primary supervisor, Melissa Theobald, Clinical Psychologist, has supervised a large number of Provisional Psychologists through their registration program and is passionate about supporting and developing early career Psychologists.
These positions are available for start in February 2025 and can be flexible to meet the needs of the right candidates. The positions may be part time or full time (minimum of three days per week).
Essential Criteria:
1. Eligibility for Registration as a Provisional Psychologist with AHPRA.
2. A willingness to learn and enthusiasm for developing the clinical skills and theoretical knowledge required to work in a general private practice.
3. High level of initiative, organisation and planning and ability to self-motivate for the completion of tasks as required for registration.
4. Have a passion for working with children, adolescents and adults.
5. Have a passion and interest in offering a range of psychometric assessments.
6. Have a passion for and be willing to travel to provide services to more remote areas.
7. Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
9. Excellent written/report writing skills.
10. Good computer skills.
11. Ability to work in a team environment.
Preference will be given to those with previous experience in mental health related fields and those who demonstrate a warm and engaging personality.
