The University of Newcastle – Newcastle NSW 8 days ago, from University of Newcastle Contribute to groundbreaking mental health research Be part of the Login Lab's mission to drive change Be challenged and imagine with us!The Login Lab team, based at HMRI, is a multidisciplinary group conducting impactful and complex research in mental health.Our team is leading Australia's first implementation of evidence-based mental health tools in collaboration with NSW Local Health Districts and private health settings.We are currently expanding our research into precision treatment for mental health and substance use issues and are looking for a passionate and organized Research Assistant to join us.About the Role As a Research Assistant, you will work closely with Researchers and Project Managers, supporting the team's efforts across various projects and research activities.Your primary focus will include assisting with ethics applications, recruiting participants, collecting data, and helping the team achieve key research milestones.Key Responsibilities Conduct literature searches and prepare supporting documents for grant applications.Assist in implementing research activities, including developing and submitting ethics applications.Engage in participant recruitment and conduct data collection for studies.Prepare research reports and assist in the submission of manuscripts to academic journals.Strong communication skills, empathy and respect as engaging with key stakeholders including researchers and community members is a key component of this role. About You To succeed in this role, you'll need: A background in behavioural science, public health, social science, psychology, or a related health field.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to team dynamics.Experience working with healthcare professionals and engaging in healthcare environments.An understanding of quantitative research methodologies (desirable).Proficiency in software and data tools such as RIMS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and RedCAP.
