Together, we will bring the best of Suntory to Oceania.The Opportunity:We are seeking a Senior Financial & Reporting Accountant to drive business performance by delivering accurate financial and tax reports. This key role will help align global best practices and enhance our operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting for all entities.Implement improvements to the reporting process and manage year-end reporting and audits with external auditors.Supervise the reporting team to meet deadlines and collaborate with FP&A for accurate reporting.Oversee weekly excise tax filings for the Alcohol business and ensure compliance with internal controls.Review complex transactions for correct excise treatment and maintain accurate GL balances in SAP.Perform monthly reconciliations of significant general ledger accounts and maintain intercompany balances.Identify process improvements and report exceptions to management promptly.Conduct functional P&L analysis and provide insights to stakeholders.Drive budgeting and forecasting processes for functional departments.Prepare and file all tax deliverables accurately and on time, supporting the Tax Manager with transfer pricing documentation.Prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and coordinate audit reviews.What We're Looking For:Strong technical accounting knowledge.Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior team members.Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent analytical, time management, and interpersonal skills.GST or Income Tax experience (Preferred).Alcohol Tax Experience would be highly regarded.Unleash Your Spirit!As Suntorians we believe in Dreaming Big and Growing for Good.
