Director, Aboriginal Health Partnerships and EngagementsGeneral/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)Full timeThe Department for Health and Wellbeing assists the Minister for Health and Wellbeing to set the policy framework and strategic directions for SA Health.The department supports the delivery of public health services, formulates health policy, facilitates public and consumer consultation on health issues, and monitors the performance of South Australia's health system by providing timely advice, research, and administrative support.SA Health is working to address the health inequities faced by Aboriginal people, reducing the gap in health outcomes between South Australia's Aboriginal people and the rest of South Australia's population.In line with the new strategic vision for Aboriginal Health, we are recruiting a new role, Director, Aboriginal Health Partnerships and Engagements.The OpportunityThe role supports the Chief Aboriginal Health Officer in driving the strategic vision for SA Health and influences improvements to initiatives for the implementation of enhanced programs in accordance with SA government requirements and in line with commitments to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and the SA Aboriginal Health Care Framework.The role oversees the development and delivery of Aboriginal health engagement and partnerships across SA Health and drives system intelligence that will ensure effective and improved commissioning, performance, evaluation, and evidence-based outcomes.You will play a crucial role in nurturing strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, clinical staff, and community members.Join us in leveraging your passion to help drive and support strategies aimed at bridging the health gap through better coordination and integration of services and facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnable the delivery of transformational reforms that deliver on Closing the Gap and SA Aboriginal Health Care Framework to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal South Australians.Promote and lead community involvement and partnerships with Aboriginal people, families, and communities to impact system-wide policy and project initiatives.Lead the creation of quality partnership and engagement policies, practices, and governance processes.Promote good customer service, learning and development, safety, and welfare of employees.Achieve required divisional performance targets and objectives that inform and advance Aboriginal Health initiatives.Successfully lead commitments to build capability and capacity of SA Health to meet its commitments to the state's Closing the Gap Priority Reforms and Socio-economic Outcomes.About YouAs the Director, you will lead with passion and purpose, driving initiatives to elevate the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities in South Australia.You will be responsible for maintaining trust and developing new SA Health stakeholders and Aboriginal representatives.We are looking for an experienced Senior Leader with an understanding of health issues facing the sector and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait community.Ideally, you will bring:Strong leadership and strategic thinking with a focus on Aboriginal health and wellbeing.Proven ability to develop strategic working relationships with stakeholders.High-level skills in analysing and conceptualising problems, formulating and executing appropriate solutions, and negotiating successful outcomes.Experience in leading and influencing strategic policy direction, and in understanding and analysing complex work practices.Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.If you are looking for your next role and would like to have a confidential discussion, please reach out to Paula Turbill on 0412 850 940.#J-18808-Ljbffr
