We are actively seeking Mechanical Engineers, Senior Mechanical Engineers, Associate Mechanical Engineers, and Principal Mechanical Engineers with expertise in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure to join our teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
You'll become part of a multidisciplinary team with a proven track record of delivering significant projects in the water sector, collaborating with talented professionals nationwide.
Working on iconic projects, you will drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.
Our national treatment team is currently engaged in diverse projects across Australia, including the upgrade of Coolum STP, amplification of Cronulla WWTP, Wollongong WWTP, Happy Valley WTP, Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant, and Kangaroo Island Desalination Plants.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within a national, multi-disciplinary water treatment team to achieve project objectives.
* Apply state and federal water legislation, industry standards, and guidelines.
* Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
* Provide technical input to proposals and pursue business development opportunities.
* Stay updated on water and wastewater technology advancements, offering technical expertise and innovation in project design and procurement.
* Engage in company development initiatives and mentor staff through active participation in the Mentoring Program.
* Contribute actively to industry development, participating in committees, industry bodies, and delivering papers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with CPEng accreditation (or working towards).
* Relevant consulting experience in the Water industry.
* Technical proficiency across Water and/or Wastewater Treatment/Process disciplines.
* Proficient in leading hydraulic and civil design for water and wastewater treatment plants.
* Familiarity with modeling software, analytics techniques, and detailed design and equipment selection.
* Experience with Mass Balance, Design Basis, Equipment Sizing, PFD, P&ID, FDs.
* Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to clients and internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to prepare technical reports for projects of various scales.
* Familiarity with CHAIR and HAZOP methodologies, and skilled in safety in design practices.
* Competent in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies for medium to large-scale projects.
