Aboutthe Role
As aChef Manager you will work with a team of Catering assistants to lead theprovision of well presented, delicious and nutritious meals that meet Residentdining and dietary requirements.

Duties
6. Run anefficient, high-quality dining and catering service for the residents of thecare home
7. Collaboratewith the Lifestyle team to ensure all activities and events are appropriatelyplanned and catered for
8. Ensureany specialist resident dietary requirements are met (e.g. diabetes, weightloss or gain)
9. Preparethe main dishes for lunch and dinner
10. Overseethe washing, preparation, and cooking of all foods, including vegetables,soups, sauces, gravies, desserts, sandwiches, salads, bread, and rolls
11. Ensurethat all meals are prepared fresh daily utilising seasonal produce
12. Managesafe and correct processes in food purchasing, storage, handling, andpreparation
13. Implementinfection control principles and practices as per infection control policies
14. Completepaperwork promptly and correctly as per duty list and Quality & AssuranceProcesses
15. Identifytraining needs and requirements of Catering Staff - this includes changes toprocesses or resident requirements, introduction to new equipment safety orenvironmental regulations
16. Skillsand Experience
17. Strong communicationskills
18. AgedCare / Hotel/Restaurant experience preferred
19. Ideallyyou would have previous experience in a similar role
20. Effectivetime management, organisational skills and budget management
21. Understandingof Food Audits
22. Demonstratedability to effectively liaise with stakeholders
23. Certificatein Commercial Cookery or equivalent is essential
