About the Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing tailored electrical systems to meet the unique needs of clients. Working in a collaborative and supportive environment, you'll manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every step.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for high-voltage and low-voltage applications, including switchboards, control systems, and other critical equipment
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and production teams, to ensure project success
- Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting during the design and manufacturing phases
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and product performance.
About You
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in electrical design, preferably within the mining, industrial, or manufacturing sectors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- A solid understanding of Australian electrical standards and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a customer-focused mindset
