The Role
As the General Manager, you will take the reins of a high-performing resort with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business success.
Reporting to the Senior Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee a talented leadership team, work closely with key stakeholders, and ensure operational excellence across all facets of the resort.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Delivering consistent, high-quality standards across all resort offerings, including food and beverage, accommodations, and guest activities.
* Leading and mentoring a team of department managers to exceed guest expectations.
* Driving financial results through effective cost management and strategic decision-making.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Rottnest Island Authority.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and understands the challenges of remote operations.
You will be innovative, customer-focused, and have a proven track record of leading successful teams in the hospitality industry.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Extensive experience as a General Manager in luxury or high-end resorts.
* A strong history of tenure and career progression in hospitality, demonstrating your ability to make an impact in each role will be favourable.
* Exceptional financial acumen and a results-driven mindset.
* Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, including Food Safety and RSA certifications.
* Experience working in remote locations and a deep understanding of their unique challenges.
