About Flinders University Student Association (FUSA)
Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) is the student organisation that represents the rights and interests of students at Flinders University. FUSA is responsible for a wide range of small, medium, and large-scale events such as Orientation, fairs and expos, events that celebrate diversity and wellbeing, live music, free brunches, and various other campus activities. FUSA also provides a wide range of other services including managing clubs and associations, provides welfare and advocacy services.
About the Role
FUSA runs a diverse range of student focused events that combine fun, information, awareness, and education. We are now seeking a motivated Events Officer to foster a vibrant community across Flinders Campuses, through the development of programs, events, and activities.
By engaging with diverse student groups to assess their needs, you will co-create solutions that build community, create a vibrant campus culture, and improve the student experience.
More specifically, as the Events Officer, internally referred to as a Program and Events Officer, you will also:
* Partner with Student Council and FUSA staff to develop a schedule of regular events and campus activities throughout the academic year, in line with scope and budgets.
* Contribute to the ongoing review and evaluation of events against key performance indicators.
* Supervise student casuals and student volunteers in the delivery of FUSA events.

About You
With your demonstrated community-centred approach to event management, you will thrive when collaborating with student groups to co-create activities and programs. You will be an energetic self-starter and excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with a diverse range of students, from marginalised communities, students with additional needs, and student leaders.
As the Events Officer, you will also demonstrate:
* Experience in supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of a program of engagement activities, events and activations.
* A practical understanding of community development ad community engagement to coordinate successful events in a multicultural context.
