About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Anaesthetic Consultant within the Surgical subspecialties and Anaesthetic Department.
The successful applicant will undertake clinical duties in anaesthesia-related patient care, as required by the Head of Unit, Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospital Department of Anaesthesia.
As the Anaesthetic consultant you will teach the discipline of anaesthesia to medical undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, and to supervise their clinical practice in this discipline.
You will be required to participate in the various Continuing Medical Education and Quality Assurance activities of the Department of Anaesthesia.
As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
3. Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
4. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
