We provide fully integrated environmental and social assessment and management services including concept and feasibility, technical assessment, consultation, approvals, delivery, operation, and decommissioning.About the Role:Due to continuous growth, Umwelt Sydney is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to support and manage planning and approval projects throughout NSW.As a member of our NSW Environment team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients by delivering comprehensive environmental impact assessments, environmental planning, approvals, and environmental management projects across various sectors, including renewables, resources and infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing projects across various sectors, with a primary focus on renewable energy and infrastructure.Working as part of our National Environmental business will offer opportunities for you to learn and develop your skills.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Scope, plan, manage, and execute environmental assessment, planning, approvals and environmental management projects, ensuring integrated outcomes and high-quality deliveryQuality Assurance: Maintain a focus on delivering high-quality project outcomes and enhancing client satisfactionClient Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing high-quality proposals to secure new businessAbout You:Qualifications in environmental science, planning, or related degree disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in environmental impact assessment or environmental planning (NSW experience preferred) – consulting experience is desirableStrong knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, standards, and best practicesExperience managing medium to large projects through the development spectrum, including managing timelines, budgets, and resourcingExperience working on energy sector related projects, including renewable energy and/or electricity transmission desirableAdaptability to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirementsInterest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain positive team and client relationshipsWhat’s In It For You?We care about our people and want to help you grow in your career.
