Add expected salary to your profile for insightsYour Next OpportunityAs a key member of the Lindsay management team and reporting to the General Manager of Transport, the National Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in delivering the evolution of the Group’s Maintenance and Asset Management function to support future growth and the current business.Leading a team of 5 direct reports and supported by a maintenance team of 100+ working across 6 workshops, you will be responsible for the reliability and efficiency of an extensive fleet including 380 prime movers, 750 trailers, 120 rigids and 600 rail containers. Your role will encompass strategic maintenance planning, managing asset lifecycles, and embedding contemporary best practices in asset management to enhance operational performance and sustainability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the Group’s fleet asset maintenance strategy to achieve efficiency, cost savings, and a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.Prioritise disciplined risk and compliance management to uphold fleet performance, reliability, and safety standards.Design and implement asset management systems and practices from both an engineering and governance perspective.Strengthen team capabilities by building a skilled, high-performing workforce and a robust talent pipeline.Manage a $40m+ maintenance budget (not including annual replacement and growth capex).Lead the adoption and integration of digital technologies to enhance maintenance operations.Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions about fleet composition, maintenance schedules, and future business requirements.Drive sustainability initiatives, introducing environmental practices that align with business objectives and appeal to eco-conscious customers.About YouExtensive experience leading maintenance and/or asset management functions within medium to large businesses in the transport or services sector.Proven track record in implementing asset management software and systems, driving behavioural change, and ensuring successful adoption across teams.Expertise in data and financial analysis, reporting, and interpretation, including Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability.Strong operational acumen with a highly visible and collaborative approach to working with operations teams.Ability to effectively engage and build relationships with individuals at all levels of the business.Skilled at working cross-functionally with key areas such as safety, compliance, HR, and finance.Trade qualifications (preferably Heavy Vehicle Mechanic) complemented by additional credentials in engineering or related fields.In-depth knowledge of quality management, industry regulations, and safety standards.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.What We OfferSenior career development opportunities in a growing organisation.A family-oriented company culture that values safety, support, and inclusivity.Access to state-of-the-art equipment and advanced safety technology.Recognition and rewards for key service milestones.Employee referral and retention bonus programs.Salary packaging options, including novated leases.Discounts with partners such as Qantas, Ringers Western, Bridgestone Tyres, and more.About Lindsay TransportLindsay Transport, a division of Lindsay Australia Limited, is Australia’s leading transporter of fresh and refrigerated produce.
