Job Description
The Restaurant & Bar Executive is responsible for providing prompt and professional F&B service to Hotel’s guests and assisting the management of all aspects of the Restaurant & Bar, Meeting Space, Swimming Pool functions, in accordance with operation standards. Assist to implement and maintain a service and management philosophy, which serves as a guide to respective staff.
Outlet Operations
1. Coordinate and assist in opening / closing duties and ensure that all settings are completed according to standards and procedures prior to the start of operations.
2. Assist management to supervise junior team members and casual labor under his / her leadership / section and to ensure that all tasks assigned / required in the outlet are carried out on time and according to instruction and departmental standards.
3. Take and record restaurant reservations / cancellations in accordance to departmental standards. Reconfirm reservations through phone calls or email on a daily basis.
4. Take food and beverage orders according to guest’s requirements and preferences.
5. Deliver food & beverage services in accordance to departmental standards and procedures.
6. Ensure that all food & beverage are served according to LQA service standard.
7. Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue.
8. Cross sell other dining venues when outlet is full.
9. Remember individual guest’s names and their preferences to extend a personalized service.
10. Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
11. Collect food and beverage supply requisition, ensure that the stock collected is as per requisition.
12. Handle guests’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently. Report any complaints, incidents or other irregularities to management.
13. Supervise and assist in assigned work station’s activities and oversee the operation of outlet in the absence of management.
14. Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required.
15. Deliver and support outlet to achieve exceptional LQA Standards in the outlet.
Owner Events and Tasks
1. Coordinate and manage events and tasks specifically related to the owners.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for owners during events to ensure all their requirements and expectations are met.
3. Plan and execute owner events from start to finish, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination with other departments.
4. Provide personalized service to owners, remembering their preferences and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
5. Handle any owner-specific requests, issues, or complaints promptly and efficiently.
6. Maintain detailed records of owner events and feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
1. Secondary / High school education.
2. Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage.
3. Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
4. Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
5. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
6. Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
