QUALTECH (TAS) provides expert service and advice in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and operates four laboratories across Tasmania specialising in soil, aggregate, pavement and concrete testing.
Our experienced team of qualified technicians offer a diverse range of materials testing and analysis for projects across Tasmania, as well as providing consulting and expert services in all areas of the CMT and Concrete mix designs. Our NATA accredited laboratories are located across the state: Derwent Park, Leslie Vale, Breadalbane and Burnie.

About the ROLE We are seeking an experienced, full-time Construction Material Tester and Technician to contribute and assist with the growth and reliability of our business, providing a high-quality service to both our internal and external clients.
This position supports our Northern Operations team at Breadalbane. Key duties will include but not limited to:
Visiting internal and external client sites across industries to sample and collect varied construction materials (soils, aggregates and plastic concrete)Conduct concrete compressive / flexural testingConduct soil and aggregate and pavement testing in both field and lab settingsCleaning and maintenance of field sampling equipment and cylindersEnsure accurate, timely records and reporting, in line with NATA Accreditation requirements.Routine quality assurance checks and calibrationsCollaborating and communicating with internal and external customersAbout YOU A commitment to our Safety 1st Always Works frameworkProven previous experience in Construction Material Testing (concrete) essential, and/or soil, aggregates, granular pavement experience will be highly regardedStrong communication and interpersonal abilities, paired with high attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality assurance.The ability to work independently through efficient time managementCurrent unrestricted driver licence (manual). Regional travel is essential for the role and a Company pool vehicle will be provided.Capability of undertaking physical work, compliant with applicable PPE requirementsFlexible with working hours.
