Join our not-for-profit clients dynamic team at where we they committed to providing high-quality services to the community. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Officer to join their Finance team and work closely with their external payroll provider.
Key Responsibilities: As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end payroll services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with the external payroll provider for seamless payroll processing.
2. Liaising with the P&C team to ensure accurate setup of new staff on payroll and HR systems.
3. Processing pay, timesheets, leave requests, variations, allowances, and termination payments fortnightly.
4. Managing salary packaging processing and coordination with the provider when necessary.
5. Reviewing payroll reports and reconciling PAYG and STP uploads to the ATO.
6. Providing expert advice on the implementation of automated processes from HRIS to payroll.
7. Coordinating year-end processes, including reconciliations and issuing annual payment summaries.
8. Maintaining payroll records, both digital and hard copy, in accordance with policy and legislative requirements.
9. Generating regular and ad hoc payroll reports.

Experience:
10. Essential: Significant relevant payroll experience.
11. Essential: Demonstrated experience with iCHRIS payroll software.
12. Essential: Experience with digital Time and Attendance systems for payroll processing.
13. Essential: In-depth experience in payroll reconciliation/audit and preparation of banking-related files.
14. Essential: Experience in handling staff queries regarding payroll and EBA/Award conditions.
15. Essential: In-depth experience in interpretation and application of various EBA/Awards and Agreements.
16. Essential: Experience in process improvement.
17. Desired: Experience in coordinating projects.
18. Desired: Experience with ENTO rostering software or similar system.
