Overview
The Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of a confidential secretarial, reception and administrative services to the Women's and Children's Health Network. Administrative Officer positions work on a weekly rotation roster, across various shift times within the clinical areas and Administration Hub across the Health Network, thus being multi-skilled in all aspects of the Outpatient Departments and varied administrative areas. The role is required to perform duties autonomously and undertake responsibilities for more complex duties and decision making in coordination with the designated Team Leader / Coordinator of the area.

The Women's and Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.
It is the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA's largest maternity and obstetric service. It also provides important community-based services.
Each year, more than 30,000 people are admitted and about 5000 babies are born at the Women's and Children's Hospital. In addition more than 250,000 people come to the hospital as outpatients.
The hospital has 295 beds. The hospital's paediatric and adolescent wards cater for all paediatric specialties. Women's wards provide antenatal, gynaecology, neonatal and postnatal care.
