Create engaging, quality, online short courses, microcredentials and assist with full units for internal students and industry partners.
Work collaboratively with subject experts, multimedia specialists and fellow learning designers.
This role will focus on implementing a range of existing short course and microcredential opportunities.
The team is spread over a number of campuses so you will get the opportunity to work both in person and online with a variety of stakeholders.
Full time, 12 month fixed term role based at any of our Australian campuses with some hybrid flexibility.
About The Role
Operating within the Learning Experience Design team, this new position will focus on the creation of new fully online short courses and microcredentials using the Canvas LMS and a variety of learning technology tools.
A large proportion of this work will be the creation of microcredentials for our students who are enrolled in teaching degrees as part of the All Points to Teaching student pathway.
Development of online short courses and blended units of study across a variety of subject areas could also be part of this role.
The Learning Designer supports the academic teaching community in the design and development of student-centric blended and fully online units.
This position holder works closely with Faculty and colleagues in the Centre for Education and Innovation to provide appropriate, evidence-based professional development to increase the capacity of teaching staff across the University.

What We Offer

Total remuneration valued to $121,117 - $131,031 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $102,346 - $110,723 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
A 2.8% increase will be effective from the beginning of the last full pay period before 30 June 2025.
17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
