Commencing operations in 2014 by Mr Pardon Maponde, Skives Technologies has operated with several companies that specialise with conveyor belt maintenance. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator and Mechanical Fitter Tradesman to join our team based in Kalgoorlie, in a FIFO/DIDO role to WA locations. The role of Product Specialist is primarily responsible for choosing the right product application, servicing and installation of equipment (scrapers, trackers, ploughs, pulleys, idlers and skirting). You are also required to present a professional image and service to Skives Technology clients and ensure all work is completed to a high standard. In this role you will be complying with OSHE requirements, providing clients with exceptional services, and designing, troubleshooting, and implementing cost-effecting equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability. The successful applicant must be a trade qualified Welder/Metal Fabricator or Mechanical Fitter with welding competency with experience in a similar role in the mining industry working with conveyor equipment. We are also seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician and a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. For these roles, you must also: Hold a Mechanical Engineering or Welding qualification Have 2 years' experience Hold Confined Spaces, EWP, and Working at Heights tickets Have intermediate Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) Hold a forklift licence (preferable) Be physically fit to meet the demands of the role In addition, we are seeking an experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team.
